In order for a city to become a renown foodie Mecca, it has to have a few key components: an eclectic mix of dining establishments as well as impressive local markets that offer the freshest foods and ingredients of their region. After culinary school, you may want to consider relocating to just such a Mecca. Here is a list of the top foodie cities to move to after graduation:
Las Vegas- People from all over the world go to Vegas for one basic principle- spending money. With the appropriate amount of money, you can get the finest from Las Vegas cuisine. Mexican fusion dishes from celebrity chef, Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill are just one example. Themed establishments are all the rage in Vegas, and so there are extensive types of cuisines to choose from after culinary school.
New York City - With world class restaurants like Per Se, Bubby's, and Balthazar, among others, New York is a place for foodies to indulge. New York is home to many internationally known dining establishments, whether they are five-star restaurants or diners and dives. In addition to exceptional restaurants there are famous markets like the Chelsea Market, which offers gourmet food and ingredients to the general public.
Singapore - Among innumerable Asian restaurants, Singapore is home to the famous French restaurant, One Rochester. Known for its seared salmon topped with rich mango sauce, this tourist attraction is a must for most travelers. Lei Garden is another great spot where you can sample the best of Singapore's regional cuisine.
Sydney - The Sydney Fresh Food Market is one of the biggest foodie attractions for this city. There, 800 vendors offer local produce, along with other unique goods like flavored honeys and gourmet chocolates. Bills 3, is a popular restaurant that is known for its breakfast mastery, Longrain Asian cuisine, and Billy Kwong Chinese food. Syndey influenced by many international cuisines, so there is a lot to be learned by moving there after culinary school.
London - English food is often known to be a bit bland, but London has several excellent food establishments to be enjoyed. Authentic Indian cuisine is one of the things England is best known for in the food world. The restaurant Tamarind offers over 50 dishes including a fabulous seafood stew. Other famous restaurants include The Fat Duck and Thames Foyer, which offer traditional English breakfast complete with toast and black pudding.
